College 2.0

NAU, take two.

Everything seems so boring lately. It’s only 3 weeks into the school year and I am so sick of routines. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are exactly the same as are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Even the weekends have routine with sleeping in, grocery shopping and studying filling them up. I have weekly homework assignments and quizzes due at the same time and day every week so far, so I can practically copy and paste my planner pages weekly. I watch the same shows, eat the same things (typically), do laundry at the same times, and catch up with friends in the same fashion. I have been waiting to hear back regarding a second job, but even that status hasn’t changed. I see the same people, as well. Nothing ever seems to change or be exciting this semester.

Sarah, my roommate, just brought up a great point. If you don’t tell anyone about what you do in your day, no one knows what happened. We are constantly surrounded by strangers who we don’t talk more than small talk to. It makes me want to know what everyone does- my boss, my roommates, and classmates, the mailman who comes into my work with his puppy and my professors. We all have lives, but we never know what others we care about do with them as much as we should.

I really am wanting something to break all the routine a part, but still be able to maintain my great productivity of this semester. Ideas?

Next time you see me, I want to hear what you have to say about your day! Aside from the minimal weather and class talks we all have.
